Hi, everybody.
Happy Friday. Here's a summary of our work last week:
Chestnut:
Chestnut has been going through the game and drawing variations for different cutscenes -- by which we mean the base art that changes slightly from one line of text to another. She also has a list of fixes she will focus on later once she's done with her current work. Additionally, I have asked her to do a few new, more minor cutscenes because I remembered two earlier dialogues that were a bit longer and could benefit from artwork breaking them up. There could be more instances where additional images would improve the experience, but I will need to play through the earlier content to identify them.
Pistachio:
I further edited the writing and posed several dialogues, including a new one I wrote this week. I also added some of Chestnut's artwork to the game, corresponding to the scenes I was posing, because I needed to better see how things looked in the final version (beyond the sketchy placeholders I have been using) and get a sense of whether the posing was working or not. There was an annoying visual bug I encountered when checking out the earlier parts of the quest, but I didn't want to spend too much time on it, so I will work on it during the polish phase.
Next week's plan:
Chestnut will continue drawing variations and improving her completed work.
I plan to focus entirely on posing. There are animations I have to make, artwork I need to add, and sound effects I have to create and code in, but my goal is to finish posing the main content by the end of this month.
