Weekly report 191

Hi, everybody.

I hope you've had a great first week of 2024. Here's a summary of the work we have done since last week:

Chestnut:

She's done with all of the artworks planned for 0.7. That includes sprite additions, cutscenes, and base work for the animation. She has also completed a couple of redoing tasks for events we weren't happy with. A few points about her work:

• I am still actively editing+posing as a result of which I sometimes need new artwork (last week, for example, I created a new placeholder art for the MC grabbing Gomira's ass during a sprite interaction, and I'm going to need Chestnut to create artwork for it). So, while she's done with the base art, she will still have more things to draw.
• She is going to begin the editing phase of her work, during which she goes through the artworks she has done (ideally those I have added to the game) and fixes things she's not happy with or looks for elements to improve. She also uses this stage to create variations for some of the cutscenes. For example, we use sprites in many of our cutscenes, but the expression used in sprites may not match the cutscene, and she will have to draw new faces/hands for that case specifically.
• Usually, we do these after I, too, am done with my tasks, and we can go through the game together, but we think it'd be a waste of time for her to wait for me, so she will proceed and later when I'm done, she will go through everything again with me, making additional adjustments as necessary.

Pistachio:

I continued my work on Gomira's second quest, focusing more on posing already edited texts. I also added two new dialogues, posing one and I plan on posing the other tonight. There is a lot of artwork that needs to be added to the game. Still, I'm not worried about that aspect since that's usually done relatively fast because it's a matter of replacing placeholder art.

Next week's plan:

Chestnut has started going through her artworks and identifying parts that need improvement.

I'm going to try to pose as many scenes as I can.
