Video - in the MC's bed

Here's a video from one of the new cutscenes corresponding to an event we see halfway through the content of the update which wasn't originally planned (and hence not drawn). My idea was that it would be nice to have another character share the MC's bed with him in the tent, and who better than Gomira. Chestnut has been working on this event in her polish phase, and I hope you like what you see so far.

When designing Gomira's sprite, Chestnut wanted to give her a couple of scars (she would have to go back to the first cutscene from the prison and edit the art), but I asked her not to since posing them would be difficult (I would have to flip the skin on the sprite from one side to another similar to Lana's eyepatch which would be really time-consuming). So... in our world orc's wounds heal faster and better than other races (as long as they don't lose chunks of their flesh), which makes them even more effective soldiers and mercenaries. Spoiler: Gomira does get a wound at a point in the story, and she is later shown to be cured, to establish this better in the game.

2024-03-28 20:34:20 +0000 UTCI'm gonna be a bit naughty. :P I was actually a bit suprised at the end product. Beautiful shapes and a cool looking haircut, but suprisingly smooth and healthy skin. My assumption for some reason was that as a tribeswoman/barbarian, she might several decorating scars here n' there, but true, assumptions are the mother of all disappointments and perhaps life has been kinder to her than I thought at first. Or her skills show/manifest in her lack of scars/how untouchable she has been so far. Could be anything! : ) Enough banter on my behalf. Beautiful work. Thank you! ;)
