Weekly report 219

I hope you're all feeling well and have had a great week. Here's a summary of what Chestnut and I have done since our last report:
Chestnut:
We played the newly added sections of the game, and so in addition to fixing things here and there she has also been trying to make sense of my placeholders and offering suggestions. We agree that there is a huge improvement overall, but some parts need to be fixed and clarified visually.
She also recorded a video which I was supposed to post today. I didn't have any free time today to do that, though, and now that I've started my work, it's a bit late for a video. I will post the video tomorrow (spoiler: it's an image from a bit of action that leads to a sex scene).
Pistachio:
My week has been dedicated to debugging. I'm working on the code I wrote nearly two years ago, and since we change the events of our stories when things don't work, a lot of little modifications have been made in the intervening period that require adjustment of the earlier parts. None of them is anything major, but they add up and you find yourself spending a whole day fixing a bit of dialogue and making it flow smoother. I had already done most of these fixes while posing and testing, but the more you debug and closely examine, the more things you find that impact the experience. I'm going through everything and my new deadline is that I want to finish (that means completely be done with) the first quest by the end of this month. It's going to be eleven days of only debugging so, I believe I can manage it -- that's not entirely correct since there's one bit of content that I will need to code (the image from tomorrow's video), but more foreplay is always a good thing.
What's next:
Chestnut had already been working on some of the new content before seeing them in the game, and now that she has, she has a better sense of their use. This week she's going to adjust her art to match that, and also to work on the rest of the artwork needed.
I'm going to do what I said above and debug debug debug.
