Happy Friday! I hope you've had a great week and are getting ready for a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
My main goal this week was finishing the polish work of the text and the posing, and while I didn’t quite hit that goal, I'm close (I need another week). Last week, we did encounter a bug involving one of the presex events which I will return to later. Chestnut is still working on visual touch-ups, and she also expects to finish all her tasks in a few days unless we find new bugs or errors.
Speaking of which, we have a doubt about the last sex scene with Gomira, namely that she's very dominant in that scene and we’re wondering if some players might feel like that's too much femdom (to be clear not all of 0.7's sex scenes involve female domination). Until now, I honestly hadn't given it much importance since, in my mind, there are some female characters who will be submissive (including one who will like to be tied up) and others, like Gomira, who might like to be in charge -- to me, the variety is a good thing and in line with that have an MC who's open to different sexual experiences. Being so close to the release, and wanting to avoid backlash, though, makes you doubt stuff. As far as I see, our options are either to proceed as planned, or take an extra 5-7 days to add another sex scene to the game with an alternative animation for people who are not into femdom -- to set correct expectations, I don't think the femdom in this scene is too hardcore, but it's definitely more than what we had done so far and if people really don't like dominant women they may not like it. Anyway, this is just something we talked a lot about today and it's fresh in my mind as I'm writing this. In all likelihood, we'll leave it as it is to move on, but it's a decision we must make by the next report.
There’s not much more to say right now except that we're working very hard to finalize the form of the game and send it out to external testers. Our deadline is still the end of November, and unless we run into major bugs, we should be able to hit it.

I love bondage, it's very exciting. I think there could be two options: whoever wants it can put it on and whoever doesn't like it can just leave it off. ;)

2024-11-02 19:31:40 +0000 UTCI agree that the MC does have a very open mind, which being raised in a brothel makes sense. I like women who know what they want and aren't shy in the bedroom. Just don't demean or emasculate the MC. A woman who tells you want to do to her, and how hard or fast is sexy, but I don't think most guys like being "man-handled" by a woman. One last thing, the MC always manages to outwit, usually though people underestimating him and coming out on top. MC could go along with what Gomira wants at first, let her push him around a bit, but after he's learned enough about her and her culture he turns the tables and delightfully surprises her.

In the game's lore it is a cultural practice for orcs to sexually dominate the opponents they vanquish. So this girl asks you to dominate her after the match is over. You could always add a scene like that later where Gomira asks MC to dominate her instead. In any case I am really looking forward to a little BDSM in this game. If I have one criticism of your game it is that it feels a little vanilla at times. Light BDSM always adds a little flavor without going off the rails

And considering unlike the MC she casually kicks guards with full plate armor in the face using her bare feet I don't see that happing very soon. At least that is the argument I would use if people would complain about her scenes being only femdom. Something, something about fans having unrealistic expectations.

I have good news for you: you don’t have to worry at all! 😀 As a matter of fact, light submissive and light dominance scenes are not a big deal when they are done in a non toxic way, and as your game has a good and positive vibe, I’m sure it will be done in a way that is OK, so again please do not worry! “Worse case scenario”, which wouldn't be a problem either, you can add a checkbox in the "Options" menu like “Do not show light submission and light dominance scenes”. By default it would be unchecked, but those who would prefer not to see them could check it. In terms of game-play, you would then have the scene by default, or those who checked this checkbox would have a funny message instead, saying “And they had rough sex!”, or something like that! 😂😂☺️ So, end of the problem! Have a nice one!

2024-11-02 08:35:55 +0000 UTCI would say, more than anything, this is just the jitters; especially with all the obstacles y'all have had to deal with for this update. This isn't NTR or some other controversial tag we're talking about. Worst case, you'll get some clowns who hate it and feel obliged to tell you. Let me preemptively tell them to shove it. I would argue that if there's backlash, you can update with an alternative scene. All that said, you shouldn't compromise your artistic vision over perceived reactions that haven't happened yet.

However, if there was a mechanic that would allow the MC to say fight for dominance every once in a while, I think that could work with her character as well. It would allow a submissive mood or two, but not soften her base character instincts very much.
