Weekly report 238

Hi everybody!

First, I want to confirm that we're still scheduled to release 0.7 on Dec 10th for patrons with Friend and above tier (we'll release it publicly on the 11th). I'm not going to add more optional dialogues, change and improve the sound (it's passable), or even fix some of the typos and minor issues from previous updates that had been reported early in 0.7's dev period (right now and when we have set a deadline is not the time for that). Instead, I'm going to fix a couple of known issues with 0.7, correct the many typos I still see in the game, and then go through the content with Chestnut and do final polish works to get the game ready to be sent out to external testers, which will happen sometime next week (thank you to all of you who messaged me and offered to test the beta version of the game).

I want to take the rest of this report to set expectations for 0.7, as it has been so long since we last released anything and honestly we're both anxious and very excited (feels like 0.1 again, except this time we know many people will play the game). So here goes:

• 0.7 will be slightly over 5.5 GB when using uncompressed images.

• It will have a bit over 60,000 words (used to be 66k, but I've been editing the text and removing the fluff).

• The story focuses on Gomira, her past, present, and future.

• Gomira's not the only female character who will have sexual content in 0.7, although she's the center of the story and an active participant in most parts of the update.

• There will be 8 sex scenes shown in 6 events (two events contain two consecutive sex scenes).

• A new map for one of the existing towns is added to the game, although we only explore one of the locations of this map for Gomira's quest, and like 0.6 with Rose, we're not yet able to freely access this town at this point in time.

• There are 62 cutscenes added to the crystal ball that you can revisit after 0.7's story is finished (by comparison, 0.6 had 25, and that was our biggest update then).

• The story is largely linear, and with one or two exceptions early on, once you start it, you will have to see it to its happy end.

• The dialogues are far from perfect. I have to say this, because the long polish period may imply that we've ensured everything is as smooth as some of the butts the MC gets to grope in the course of his adventures, and while I think we've found most major issues (we still find minor things every time we play it), most of our work in the polish phase of 0.7 has gone into redoing scenes that didn't match the feeling we were aiming or working on the consistency of the story (we discovered we needed a lot of fixes in the polish phase, but otherwise it should have been called the 'redoing' phase). To be clear, I don't think the dialogues are bad, but I have had to cut short actual polish I would have loved to do, or given the length of the content, this update would have been the death of me.

• There are over 7,000 lines of dialogue and almost all of them are posed or have cutscenes associated with them.

• Lastly, I mentioned it a few reports ago, but in case you have not read that one, there will be some fairly mild fem-dom content. I said fairly mild, because to me it's how it is, but I can easily imagine someone sending me a message to the effect of "what the hell were you going on about? This barely qualifies as femdom" and someone else shutting down their pc in annoyance at what they perceive to be an unacceptable level of female muscles put to sexual use. I think the content added fits the tone of the game, but you'll be the judge of it once the update is out.
