Weekly report 240

Happy Friday!

First, if you haven't played Gomira's story, you can get it from this post, and I hope you enjoy it.

It's because of you that we could finish this release -- because of all your support and encouragement, which, despite everything, kept us going until we reached this point. Hopefully, we can put the challenges of 0.7 behind us for good and have better dev cycles in the future. Thank you!

The release:

The release went well overall, but we did run into two issues: I didn't know there was a daily limit to Mega (which is many players' preferred site to download games from), and I was trying to fix typos until the very last minute, and in my haste I introduced a bug, breaking the 0.7 version for people. For the first issue, we'll come up with a solution for future releases, and about the bug, I'm sorry to all of you who got impacted. I released a patch about 30 minutes after the release, but it's fair that people shouldn't have to revisit the page to fix their game, and an update should be without game-breaking bugs from the start. Again, I'm sorry, and if you're still experiencing that bug, please get the patch from here and fix your game.

After that, I added two more patches (we're now on version 0.7.03), the first fixing many of the typos and the second resolving an issue that only affected Mac, Linux, and Android players (I couldn't replicate it on my Windows, so fixing it was left until a bit later).

Break:

Today is the first day of our post-release break. We'll take two weeks off and return to work on December 28th.

For the next release, we're also going to start taking Sundays off again.

Wallpaper:

Sometime in the next two weeks, I'll upload wallpapers from different cutscenes and images of the update. If there's any specific one you'd like to see, please mention it in a comment.

Polls:

Also, in a week or so, after most players have played Gomira's content, we'll post a few polls asking for your opinions of the update, your favorite sex scenes, and your favorite characters from 0.7. These polls will be open to all patrons as they don't directly impact the content.

The poll deciding the content of the 0.9 will have to wait until we return to work and, after reviewing our notes, decide on the options. Only Best Friend and Close Friend tier patrons will be able to participate in that poll.
