0.9 poll results

The poll determining the focus of the update 0.9 has concluded and here are its results:
As you can see, over 60% of Best Friend and Close Friend patrons participated in the poll, and the Main Story won by a large margin.
So that everyone knows what was voted on and what this poll means for 0.9 and beyond, here's the --almost-- verbatim description of the Main Story option from the poll:
In the next part of the Main Story, we will see Madeline Goldenbush, Lana, and Serena. Both Madeline and Lana will have sexual content.
After going through our notes, we noticed that Maple was perfect for one of the important events of the Main Story, so we've decided to add her content (with some changes) in the next part of the Main Story. She will have sex scenes with the MC.
We plan to introduce several new female characters in the next part of the Main Story, and most of them will have sex scenes with the MC. None of the new girls will have their own updates.
Although an option, we're not necessarily promising any threesomes.
Importantly, the next part of the Main Story will be epic and will involve retaking the Old Capital, therefore, we will likely break the update into multiple releases to ensure we don't go more than a year without an update. So, if you vote for the Main Story, you're picking it for 0.9 and 0.10 (and possibly 0.11, depending on the number of sex scenes, the complexity of the action, etc.). We both think it will be worth it since the Main Story deserves something grand.
Note that although this will eliminate the 0.10 content poll, we will have other important decisions to replace that poll, notably 'What town should we focus on next?', which will impact the entire direction of the future of the Main Story, and 'Which existing character will get extra sex scenes?'
The next part of the Main Story is merely the next chapter of the MC's adventure. There will be more Main Story updates in the future.
Thank you to all of you who participated, and I hope even if you didn't vote for the Main Story, you'll be happy with the update once we're done with it (we have more than a few fun things in mind).

Gretta and Anne will share an update in the future. They won't have any content in the Main Story, though. About threesomes, we like to add them when it makes sense, but I can't promise any specific ones at this point since we don't know for sure if we'll add them or not until after the planning phase of each update.

It's pretty common for software of all kinds to be numbered 0.1 .. 0.9 and then 0.10 onwards. The leading zero is usually an indication that the software is beta, and 1.0 is the first stable, production ready version. In games like WaL that doesn't make much sense, so I like to think of 0.1 as "Chapter 1" and so on. So, after 0.9 (chapter 9) you have 0.10 (or chapter 10).

You are aiming for 0.8 followed by 0.9 which will become 0.1. Shouldn't that be 1.0? Unless you started at 0.01 and then incremented via 0.02, 0.03 and so on to 0.7 and beyond, once you reach 0.9 shouldn't 1.x be the next version number?

2025-01-16 00:22:41 +0000 UTCI mean, it was the one option that I didn't vote for, but I'll see the silver lining on this. Presumably, since the Old Capital will be retaken at the end of these updates, all the areas internal to it will be fleshed out and navigable (which will be nice), and either Hammerdick will be defeated (preferable in my opinion), or he'll escape. Plus I'm totes hot for Lana, so it's not a complete disappointment. If I had to voice any potential concerns, it would be that the conclusion of Main Story content in the Old Capital will make any future content in it feel.... redundant? For as much as I enjoy the primary storyline, one of (if not the) the best parts of WaL to me is the characters themselves, so the idea that any of them would feel inconsequential to the greater audience just crushes me.
