Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you had a great week and are ready to enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable weekend. Here's a summary of our work last week:
Chestnut has concluded her base work on designing the sprites. She will complete the final work in the coming weeks based on her detailed sketches, creating the sprites with neutral features and gestures. Then, slowly, and as needed, she will add more facial expressions, skins, and hand gestures.
I finished the bit involving the reworked Dear Celestina content and have already started the new material. However, I had to return to the 0.3 content for a few days to reread and rewrite it because I had forgotten the voice of Celestina (the old matchmaker), and the new material didn't sound like her. I also had to make a few changes to the new ending of Holly's quest from 0.3 since the payment to Celestina doesn't take place now, and that had to be accounted for.
Next week, Chestnut will use her design to do more base sprites, and she also plans to record some of the drawing sessions so you can expect a video from us.
I'm going to continue writing Holly's second quest. I have set a writing goal for the end of February and will work hard to reach it.

2025-02-15 11:50:23 +0000 UTCIn 0.8, as soon as you visit the village you'll get a message to the effect that we've had to make some changes to the ending of Holly's first quest and hence you'll have to replay some of the content. Then you'll be taken to the well, where Celestina and Gretta are waiting for Waldo to show up for the quest's final confrontation, leading to the wedding, Holly and Celestina's altercation, the MC picking up the glasses and so on.
