Hi everybody.

Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week and have an even better weekend waiting for you. We've been busy trying to reach our goals (when I say we, I mean me, Chestnut has been doing great), and here's the report:

Chestnut:

She finished her work on the base sprites for all of the characters that will play a part in 0.8. These sprites come with basic eyes and mouths, and Chestnut has a list of extra facial features (eyes, mouths, eyebrows, and skins) and hands, which she'll later use to continue her work on them. As I begin posing soon, I'll expand that list as necessary. In addition to sprites, she began work on multiple cutscenes, using our earlier storyboards as the starting point. Today, she worked on designing the artwork we use when you add an item to your bag or get an achievement, recording a video featuring two of the latter, which we shared here (a shorter version of this video showing 2 min from its beginning is publicly available here).

Pistachio:

I dedicated all of the last week to writing, and I'm nearly done with the first draft. My guess is that by the end of tomorrow or, at maximum Monday, I'll be done. I'm overall happy with the writing and believe that except for one or two elements from the earlier parts, I won't have to make many changes later when I'm in the debug phase. The second half of the update has been more interesting to write, and hopefully, you'll like it.

Next week's plan:

Chestnut will continue working on various cutscenes and other smaller artworks, such as the achievement art which she plans to finish tomorrow.

I will finish my writing and give the whole thing one or two days of reading, preliminary editing, and cleaning up. Then, I believe toward the end of the week and perhaps a day or two before the next report, I'll start with the posing, something I'm really excited about.
