Hi everybody.
I hope you had a great week and are enjoying your summer (or winter, if you're in the southern hemisphere). Here's a summary of our work last week:
Chestnut:
She worked on a variety of artwork, ranging from elements in different backgrounds to bits of pop-up notice art, sprite hands, and, most of all, cutscenes. We have a folder with placeholder art, and Chestnut's work last week was centered around reducing them (I'll be adding these finished images to the game later, replacing the existing mixture of my doodles and storyboards).
Pistachio:
Early last week, I finally caught up with my schedule and reached where my plans indicated I had to be. I'm happy about that, of course, but there's a problem with my planned schedule for 0.8 in that it has no room for mistakes. And given that in none of our updates we 'got' everything right on the first attempt and our process of creating has involved some trial and error, I'm going to have to make some adjustments to my work hours (working during the nights) to make some wiggle room for missteps, edits, and bugs. We believe that with these changes, we'll be able to meet our 2025 release deadline.
Next week's plan:
Chestnut plans to continue her work from this week, reducing the pile of placeholders.
I'm going to do nothing but posing (and occasional bug-fixing and editing when and if necessary).
