Weekly report 273

Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week and are ready to enjoy your weekend. Here's a summary of our work since the last report:
Chestnut finished the multi-layered art of the sex scene that had been keeping her busy, but instead of doing other sex scenes, she focused on two cutscenes from about the halfway mark of the update. I had also sent her a new file with extra hands and expressions for the events I had been working on, and she began drawing the final versions of those as well.
I'm about three days behind with my schedule. I wanted to have finished the mid-update big event of the story, but I'm missing a couple of interactions. The reason being that the dialogue with the melon twins just didn't work, and I had to rewrite and repose it. I'm still not happy with it, so I want to return to it tomorrow. In addition to that, I've made some changes to a few lines Gretta has in this update to improve her interaction.
August and September are big months for me as I want to finish everything major in these remaining two months and give myself the last three months of the year to do the animations (one month) and debug/edit, which I think can be done in two months. It's going to be exciting.

I wish we could release an update every week. sadly we're a little bit slower than that. On a serious note, though, I get that weekly reports could be boring, especially when sometimes we go weeks on end trying to fix or work on the same part of the game. As for the 0.8's update, we're over halfway done with it, and our release window is still 2025. you can see the daily progress on Patreon page (as well as in our Discord server, website front page). I'm hopeful that the update will be good and that you and others will end up considering the wait worth it
