Hi everybody.
Happy Friday! I hope you're all feeling well and had a great week. This week's report will be a bit shorter than usual, since although we had an overall productive week, advancing everything at a steady rate, the work was more or less identical in its nature to that of last week.
In other words, Chestnut continued finishing smaller cutscenes and reducing the pile of placeholder art (now I'm the one who has a heap of images I need to add to the game), and I focused primarily on posing dialogues from the second half of the update.
The one thing that was new last week was a number of coding issues I found when I accidentally loaded an older save file and played a section of the game I had posed maybe two months ago. I don't know how I had missed the game-breaking bugs, but I had, and that took one day to sort out.
After that, I did a bit of testing to see if there were more issues, and I'm glad to say I didn't find any -- there are story/character things we'll need to fix and improve, but nothing too major or coding-related. Our development pace has been slow, but not finding additional bugs was encouraging. I'll say more about our deadline in two to three weeks, since right now I'd rather just focus on getting as much work done and done well this month as I can.
That's all.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Cheers!
P.S. Thank you to those of you who commented on last week's report and sent us messages on Discord and Patreon. The flu is over, thank goodness. I do dread the school season, though, since our little one has just started school (she's turning three soon) and is sure to collaborate in the group project of 'pass the virus'. So, we've been talking about going and getting flu shots in the hope of avoiding at least some of them.
