Circuit of the Americas

I present you the Circuit of the Americas aka. COTA. COTA is finally ready! This track has been a long time in the making, and just before the F1 GP is a perfect time to release. The track features:
- Laser scanned track surface
- High quality track models
- 3 Configurations (GT, F1, short)
- Working scoreboard
- Working displays
- Digital flags
- Good AI
- Replay cameras
- 36 Grid slots
- Grassfx
- Rainfx
- and more
UPDATE 1.0:
- New Layout (National)
- Adjusted most of the materials to have a more realistic look
- New fence textures
- New AI
- Fixed some texture flickering
- Fixed floating grooves
- Removed some bump curbs which was removed in 2022
- Tweaked surface values
UPDATE 1.1:
- New Replay camera - Try it out, its super cool imo. :)
- Added the big flags for all layouts
- New vao patch
- Fixed freezing displays
- Updated crowd
- Fixed track limits at the esses
UPDATE 1.2:
- Massive performance boost
- Tweaked Ai
- Adjusted track limits - Now you can go a bit over at curbs
- Tweaked asphalt and grass material
- Resurfaced the track at some areas
- Slightly improved grip levels
- Tweaked flag animation
- Replaced the gantry with a bridge at T10
- Removed outer green curbs at T10 for F1 layout
- Repainted the outer curbs at T19
- And more smaller fixes

[INSTALL]
If you have an older version installed, just delete the "cota_2022" folder before you install the new one!
Download the mod from here: https://sharemods.com/smly0isqi6jd/cota_1.2.rar.html
Then copy the "content" folder from the .rar to your AC's root folder
CSP 0.1.79 or higher is highly recommended for the best experience
For SOL users: Put this file to "assettocorsa\content\tracks\cota_2022\extension" https://sharemods.com/m28tjobqd94s/displays.ini.html
IMPORTANT:
If your game crashes please try to disable these settings in cm: https://imgur.com/a/hKrV68w
I've put a lot of time into making COTA as good as i my capabilities allow it, so i hope you like this :)

Hi there Fenryr! I have the same issue. I cannot race on it because it crashes and say this "AI spline might be missing or broken". Nevertheless I disabled the Extra options for AI splines.

2023-10-24 08:29:29 +0000 UTCHi there, nice work! I just wanted to tell you that on the DRS zone (not the start/finish straight - the other one) there is a place where my car fell through the right side part of the track (where there is red paint). I can send you an image if you want.

2023-10-24 08:19:20 +0000 UTCLove what you have done with the track, bumps and curbs it is a real challenge showing why it is such a favorite in real racing and very rewarding when you nail a lap. It does seem like it could use a bit more grip to more closely match actual track times, maybe +4%, more and it would lose the challenge. Thanks

2023-10-21 23:07:56 +0000 UTCThanks for your comment! Later this weekend i will post a hotfix where i'll fix the things you said and the vegetation related performance issues. Regarding the crowd i cant do much, because there is no option as far as i know to adjust the render distance of the crowd

2023-10-21 13:12:09 +0000 UTCHi Fenryr, that would be my second comment here. Thank you once again for your work. I did notice a couple more issues after running a weekend session. One of them is the popping crowd. From further away the grandstands seem to be totally empty, when all of a sudden when closing in the crowd will be there. The other thing I didnt notice til today is the American flag. Without wind it looks fine but when a bit windy it looks strange

For example coming out of T9 my lap will be deleted even though two wheels of the car are clearly still on the track. But otherwise the track is simply amazing! Well done!

2023-10-19 19:54:22 +0000 UTCHi Fenryr, I have downloaded the original 1.0 version and now downloaded the new 1.1 version, but both of them are the same file, same content using your download links. Basically if I try to download 1.1 I get 1.0. Is this related to my subscription level so I will see 1.1 later and not at the same time as early access guys ?

2023-10-17 20:10:53 +0000 UTCI cannot get this to run, the game crashes while loading. I'm using CSP 1.7.9, tried to reinstall the patch, downgrade, remove again, upgrade. Nothing I've tried worked.
