No whimsical fellow trailing sparkles in his wake, despite his size he is of a serious demeanor and clearly not to be trifled with. This is Francis, and he's gonna make them an offer they can't refuse. Domineeringly designed by Michael McCarthy, illustrated by Leonardo Sa.

2024-12-24 01:02:39 +0000 UTCI used to live in New Jersey, so I find Francis to be a familiar sort of figure. A very respectable neighbor, to have -- as no one messes with his neighborhood. On page 3, I think it should say, "he’ll never live up to the rose-colored memories of his youth."

As it happens, I just heard an interview this morning on how & when Marlon Brando was chosen to play the title role in the movie, although I'm not sure Mario Puzo wouldn't be shaking his head at this newest version.
