He just cares about the business, money, and power. So it doesn't matter to him what his children think of him because he knows he can control them and he thinks that he's always one step ahead of them, whatever shenanigans they are planning against him. He only cares that the children deliver what he wants which explains that scene with Pheem and the dad in the office.
