Part 2 Release and Tier Release Change

Hey, I hope you're all well.

Part 2

I'm currently uploading the pre-release verion for beta testing, which means we'll start playtesting tomorrow. My internet is ridiculously slow because I live in the middle of nowhere so it'll probably take all night to upload. I'm currently at 124 kbs, so yeah, that's a thing. We're finally getting fiber optic at the end of the month though, so this shouldn't be a problem much longer.

I'm excited to see what everyone thinks of part 2 because some big things happen and I think you're going to like it. Plus, some major story developments happen too, so you can expect some tension, some romance, and of course, some fun.

I've worked really hard to make part 2 the best installment yet (I think), but I've also added some imporvements to the already released section of the game. I've added more music, fixed some bugs, corrected some spelling, and I've finally done post-production on the renders so everything looks and feels just that little bit better now.

And as always, Massive Subs will get the game two weeks before everyone else.

Changes to Subscription Tiers

I've already posted this on Discord and talked about it in my dev reports, but for those who don't know, part 2 will be released on the $3 tier instead of the $1 tier.

I've been looking at prices for a while, and it's fair to say that THoP is cheaper than pretty much every other game on the market. This is a bit of a double edged sword. Being almost free means that more people are likely to try the game, but being so cheap also means that many people will assume there isn't much content and that I don't value my own work very highly, so it also puts a lot of people off.

My original plan was to release the whole of episode 2 at $3, but I made a promise to my patrons that I'd release part 1 to all tiers. Unfortunately, keeping game releases at that price isn't a viable option due to how much time, effort, and money goes into making this game. So, I'm going back to my original plan of releasing ep2 on the $3 tier. And in case you didn't know, there will be 4 parts in episode 2, so it'll stay at the $3 tier for a while.

Episode three will then likely move to the $5 tier, but hopefully by that point the Oppaiman store will have finished adding their new pricing system, so I'll reevaluate the plan when we get to episode 3.

This news probably won't be to everyone's liking, but even at $3, the game is still way cheaper than most games on the market, so I'm hoping this won't be too much of an issue for anyone.

I Also Want to Say Thank You

It's always hard to put into words how much everyone's support means to me, but I'll try.

I expected this game to exist in complete obscurity for quite some time, and to some degree it does, but there are way more of you supporting me than I ever expected at this point, and for that, I'm hugely greatful.

Knowing that so many of you are invested in this project has really pushed me to do more and to do better. I don't want to let any of you down, and it's that feeling that's been driving me to make this next installment the best I possibly can.

And it's not something I expected because I started off making this game for my own enjoyment, but I no longer feel like I'm making this game for me, I'm making it for all of us, and that's an incredible feeling.

So thank you. I genuinely appreciate every single one of you and I hope you continue to enjoy The Home of Pleasure long into the future.
