Hot, hot, hot...
Added 2022-06-22 15:03:23 +0000 UTCSummer has landed in full force. The forecast calls for triple digits on in to July. (For you Celsius folks, that's really f'ng hot.) It's been several years since I've seen a summer with temps this...oppressive. I'm seriosly considering trying to fry an egg out on the sidewalk, just to see if I can.
What this means is that, even with my AC and fans on full, it STILL gets pretty warm in the room where I do my artwork. And with two computers and monitors putting out even more heat, it becomes extremely uncomfortable. From about 10 in the morning to about 10 in the evening, it's just not feasible to try and do any work. I've started working only in the early morning hours, and (if I can manage it) late in the evening/night.
You know when you cook a turkey or chicken, and it has that little button timer thing that pops out to let you know it's done? That's basically what I'm doing now...I work until the sweating starts, which lets me know it's time to stop and go sit in front of the AC.
The end result is that I'm forced to work a lot slower than I'm normally used to. Which means not as much new stuff as often. And, as I said, it's probably gonna be that way through the summer. So, please be patient.
