π I'm so sorry I didn't get this posted over the weekend as promised! Seasonal allergies made their uninvited comeback with my first migraine of the season, and it completely knocked me out. I'm feeling much better this morning, but yesterday was a full lights off, hiding in the dark kind of day. Thank you so much for your patience and I hope you enjoy!
This episode felt like a deep breath after everything that went down during the heist arc. It wasn't a relaxing deep breath tho, more of a heavy one. The fallout of Aldhani had a clear ripple effect across the galaxy. You can really start to feel the Empire tightening its grip. I loved how this episode slowed things down but still showed us how much higher the stakes are now.
Cassian's storyline really hit me here, too. He just wants to escape, keep his head down, run from the fight, and yet we can see the rebellion pulling him back in whether he wants to or not. I was frustrated during most of this episode, but it's the kind of frustration that makes you realize how deeply human Cassian is. Who wouldn't want to just leave all the chaos behind? Take the money and run? I probably would, too.
This one wasn't about the explosions or the blasters. It was full of tension, paranoia, and the way small choices can reshape an entire galaxy. It left me sitting in an uneasy space, knowing everything is shifting and that eventually Cassian will be caught in the crosshairs once again. Forced to fight when all he has even known is to run.
Also just a quick note to say: The muuuuusic π€£π I've been loving the ambient soundtrack in these episodes so much.
