Andor | Season 2 Episodes 7-9 | Full Reaction

These episodes were heavy. Andor has always carried the weight of rebellion with a kind of honesty that mirrors our own world. And here it was unmistakable and chilling. The fear, the propaganda, the quiet bravery. It all felt like such an echo of the revolutions and resistances that have shaped our own real history. Watching it play out in these episodes was heartbreakingly powerful. You can feel how easily tyranny grows when good people stay quiet. And in the same breath, how fragile hope becomes when it dares to rise.

Messenger immediately set a heavier, darker tone. The tension felt so thick you could slice it. Cassian feels so distant from himself. Moving through the galaxy as a ghost of what survival has really made him. But yet there is still a flicker in him, always. A tiny spark of destiny beginning to catch beneath all of the fear and the loss.

By the end of 'Who Are You?', I realized that question doesn't just belong to the characters. It belongs to all of us. Who are you when everything you believed to be true starts to unravel? When the system you served becomes the monster you fear? Who are you?

By the time we got to Mon Mothma's speech, it felt like the galaxy finally let out a huge exhale. Not really in relief, but in inevitability. Her voice shook, but her conviction never did. Her truth cut deeper than any lightsaber. It's not about victory, it's about courage. Courage to name out the evil. Courage to begin, even when beginning mean losing everything.

These episodes were about awakening. The fire is now too bright to ignore. And I think that's what Andor captures better than anything else. That rebellion doesn't start with blasters or banners. It starts in silence, grief, and the unbearable realization that you can't go back.

I honestly finished these episodes with tightness in my chest. Mourning what has been lost and will never be the same, but excited at how much new hope that brings.

I'll see you all next week for the final 3 episodes in Season 2.. I'm not ready at all ❤️‍🔥

Episode 9 "Welcome to the Rebellion" won the Emmy this year for "Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series", beating out Severance, The Pitt, The White Lotus, and Slow Horses.

What’s really interesting about your viewing of the Andor series is that it’s also setting you up for the exact same point in the Battlestar Galactica series—you had paused that show right at the arrival of a superior invading force, and the need for a resistance. So you’ll come back to BSG with a full realization of the emotional parallels.
