Aviodora Mod - Frequently Asked Questions

Dear All,

I've decided to compile the most frequently asked questions I've received from various platforms to shed some light on some exciting aspects of this upcoming Mega Mod.

1. Why is it taking so long to release this Mod?

The thing about this Mod is that there are many items missing from the game. I'm not just talking about objects required for the airport, for example, but items in general, like windmills, different houses, and more. That is one huge factor that really slows down the development. All included (modified EA objects, objects made from scratch, bought 3D models, converted Sims 3 items), there are over 350 items that have been created for this Mod, and even so, the different swatches are not included. 

Since it's an off-lot world practically, I'm using the TOOL mod, which in itself is amazing, but it is still a slow process. 

And last but not least, I have a full-time job (as cabin crew) and am attending university, along with friends and family, so my time is limited.

2. When can we expect the release?

I believe that by summer (hopefully earlier, but that depends on work and university), the beta access will be open for all volunteers and Patrons.

3. How many active "venues" are there and what are those? 

So far, there are 28 open venues: Café, Bike Shop, Bridal Shop, Knitting Shop, Gym, Hookah Lounge, Gnome Shop, Cinema, Clothing Store, Grocery Store, Wedding Palace, Botanical Garden, Bar, Disco, Museums (Red Light, Simtorini, Aviation), Graveyard, Hostel, Hotel, Public Toilet, Arcade, Library, Marketplace, Apartments, Picnic Park, Tulip Field, Camping Ground, and Airport.

4. How many rabbithole "venues" are there and what are those? 

Mall, DIY Store, Theater, Temple, plus 17 rabbithole activities in the Red Light Street.

5. What will be the main features at the initial release? 

Mainly, the city activities and the traveling part. Active careers and more are coming after the release in an update.

6. Will this mod be like Brookheights that you can access by one save file only? 

No, Aviodora will be compatible with all save files.

7. What packs are going to be required to play with this Mod? 

Get Together and City Living are a must. Additionally, it is highly recommended to have Growing Together, Discover University. Plus, Knifty Knitting, Dine Out, Eco Living, Seasons, and Cottage Living. Journey to Batuu could be useful for an addon (only for the currency exchange booth). 

While I tried to minimize the need for additional packs, it is really unavoidable due to objects and certain features. 

Without these packs, the game might throw Last Exception errors or send notifications about certain items getting removed.

8. How can we help you with this Mod? 

Please spread the word to those who might be interested in such a mod so that when the time comes, there are going to be enough people for Beta Testing. That can include YouTubers or anyone from the Sims community. 

Also, if you have a couple of real-life simoleons to spare, I would be grateful for even a time donation. In order to speed up the process of this mod, I have spent over $100 on assets from different websites and stores. That is a huge amount of money where I live, more than 15% of a monthly salary.
