Aviodora - Where It All Started

I would like to show you some of the very early development pictures from this mod. We have come a long way and it has been a very exciting journey so far.
The whole mod started off as an idea to include aviation in the Sims 4! Have an active pilot career, be able to travel by plane and go through a training process to master the arts of flying.
Early on, I realized I needed to come up with a solution that would allow me to use a runway. Since the biggest lot is 64*64, it's not big enough for a runway.
Thus, I chose Oasis Spring, as it had the flat surface I was looking for.
Back then, I did not really have an idea how the world would look like. I started building random venues like this playground and the labyrinth next to it.
Then I started working on some venues that you can see in Plumsterdam. These venues have really undergone some changes. The interior of the hostel was rebuilt thrice before the final looks.
See? It looks different. I had only 5 or 6 building types, the forest was closer and bigger, the Simffeil district did not exist, and the river looked catastrophic.
Fun fact: the railing around the river was changed 4 times before the final railing was added. The very first time, it looked like this:
Then the world started growing, I had a general vision on how I wanted it to look. It is a bit different but nonetheless, this project started outgrowing itself:
Then I started adding the new buildings and replaced some old ones!
After what felt like one eternity, I started working on Simtorini as I always wanted a Greek world in the game:
While some buildings were purchased assets from 3D stores, I started working on some of my own buildings and assets, like the windmill and this monument in the front of the picture.
The work on the Simffeil district started as well. First, I purchased an Eiffel Tower model to save some time, but in the end, I was not satisfied with it, so I converted the Eiffel Tower from the Sims 3!
I kept working on the districts, until I felt like it was finally finished!
Now, of course during the production of this mod, I ran into some pretty funny mistakes but here are my favorites:
