Hi all!
So things have been really busy for us the past couple of months. May was incredibly hectic, as we explained in a previous post, and June has turned out to be just as wild, with BretonStripes working away from home every week.
Kotor's been doing his best in her absence, but he's also had big stuff on. In addition to caring full time for Baby Boogle, he's also "auditioned" (if that's the right word) for his dream job: drawing a full graphic novel for The Phoenix, one of (if not the) biggest current comics in UK publishing. If he gets the gig, it's basically all his dreams come true, so it's absorbed a lot of his effort this past week.
We've got many videos in various stages of development, and Kotor is even working on a new, updated version of his Soapbox videos from last year, which might run on this channel, or another new one, depending on what we decide. You can see a work in progress video up at the top of this post: it's heavily inspired by Persona 5 and Into the Spider-Verse, filled with bright colours, funky music, and dotty comic book style halftones.
The video recording was somewhat interrupted by Baby Gamer at several points, and at one point Kotor had to pause filming, then resumed without remembering to press record again, at which point he threw up his hands and gave up for the day. So this will probably all be redone for the final video.
Anyway, this is just a little update to let you know that big things are on the horizon, and we're excited to share them with you. Once June is out of the way everyone's schedules are a lot simpler, and once we make it to September, Boogle is at school, so that will hopefully give us more time to work on videos.
Thank you for your patience and your continued support. We've had an insanely difficult year with bereavements and illness and stress and day jobs, so we're always really grateful to you for your support and encouragement.
Lots of love,
Everyone at Video Game Story Time
