I've always had a liking for Hermes, the Messenger of the Olympian Gods. He's by far one of the most helpful of Greek deities and one of the most active. He helps out heroes, guides souls to the Afterlife, and guides people through their dreams. He's also a god of many other things including luck, trade, wealth, fertility, communication, language, thieves, travel...the list goes on.

His mother, the Nymph Maia, is where we get the name for the Month of May. My birth month. And during this time, god of fertility, luck, prosperity, and the Earth are venerated during this time. So I decided to start with Hermes.

Also, like a lot of other deities that you'll be seeing, Hermes was sometimes depicted with a huge cock. Google it. Road markers called Herms were built in his honor and they usually had penises on them.
