Sneak Peek at Several Upcoming Guides

Hey everyone, hope Fall has been treating you well and you've found some time to catch up on some comics. There are plenty of exciting things going on in the Marvel Universe right now, and I'm working hard on keeping our modern Fresh Start guide up-to-date as well as working backwards on lots of books from the Disassembled era. I wanted to give you a preview of some of the guides that you should be seeing added to the site in the coming months, once a few more details are finalized.

Marvel Disassembled

Part 6: World War Hulk

Part 7: Gods and Devils

This section will be books that take place in between World War Hulk and Secret Invasion, and from Spider-Man making deals with the literal devil to the X-Men dealing with multiple characters who have a messiah complex (for better or worse), the name Gods and Devils felt like an appropriate title for this section.

7.1 Brand New Day

7.2 Messiah Complex

7.3 Divided We Stand

There will probably be another section or two of books in Part 7 that I have not gotten to yet, and then it is onward to Secret Invasion and Dark Reign, which I'll be working on next. Later this week I'll be adding a second preview of some of the Fresh Start era guides I'm working on, so stay tuned and thank you for your continued support!

Yep, you will see that series in our cosmic-centric reading order that takes place right after Civil War here - https://marvelguides.com/annihilation-reading-order

Do you have anything coming up soon that will have Eternal comics? I was curious to do some reading following the movie and all. Wasn't Gaiman's sometime shortly after Civil War 1?

Hi Ali, I appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately there are tens of thousands of comics and only one of me, so it takes time to read everything and create accurate reading orders. The truth is that most people getting into comics don’t necessarily want to read everything from the very beginning in order, they like to jump around. I like to jump around too, because when I spend too much time in one era I begin feeling burnt out and like to switch to something else to keep myself interested and motivated. I’m sorry if that’s not the answer you want to hear but it’s the best I can do and the only way I’ll be able to keep going. I promise I’ll get back to the Bronze Age soon, but I’ve been on a roll getting through a lot of the mid to late 2000s stuff recently. More to come, I promise!
