Early 2022 Roadmap

Hey everyone, I've been chatting with many of you via direct message, but I thought it was time to share a preview of where I'm at with various reading orders and what to expect in the first half of 2022.

Over the past month I've made a lot of progress with the Marvel Disassembled era, bringing us up through Secret Invasion. I'm really proud of this era, as it contains some of the most popular yet complicated periods in Marvel's recent history, and is really the basis for a lot of what we're seeing right now in the MCU. I expect this era to be complete by the end of the year.

I've also been catching up on more recent comics, so expect an update or two to our Fresh Start guide in the next month. While Marvel hasn't officially announced a new era or relaunch, pretty much every major storyline and series from the Fresh Start era has come to an end (except for Jason Aaron's Avengers), so I may actually start an entirely new era with the name of Timeless, based on the recent one-shot that previewed the stories to come over the next couple of years of Marvel comics. I've yet to determine this though, so expect more info soon.

I know the Bronze (and Modern) Age is in high demand, and I promise you will see updates to the Bronze Age this year. The reason it takes so long is because older comics can often take an average of 15-20 minutes to read due to the high word count and number of panels, while more modern comics I can often breeze through in a couple minutes a piece. These eras will be works in progress for many years to come, whereas I'm hoping to have pretty much everything after 2004 done over the next year or two.

For our MCU fans, we've been quietly keeping our Phase 4 guide updated every time a new movie or series releases. You may be surprised to find that the release order of Phase 4 differs greatly than the viewing order, so make sure you check it out. This year I plan to continue to enhance our MCU guides with more details about timelines and Easter eggs. 

Finally, we will have a few small updates to our DC New 52 guide in the next couple of months, but these are way down on the priority list until a time when every Marvel guide is complete and up-to-date.
