Possibly moving on over to kofi

I have been thinking of moving this patreon thing over onto kofi gold. The reason is quite simple, kofi offers the same functionalities at a flat monthly fee which is quite less than what patreon charges in transaction fees (And that would also make smaller donations and pledges possible, while at patreon anything less than a fiver means you pay quite a steep percentage in fees.)
Has anyone any experiences at using kofi gold? Does this sound like a good idea? A bad one? I can tell patreon has far more customers than kofi, so it would probably mean a bit of an inconvenience to some folk to have to move over there.

That is interesting! I wonder if that was because they were using a person paypal account? I use a business account which means when I bill you, or you send me money you just see "ThemeFinland" as the sender or recipient.
2020-12-01 22:18:00 +0000 UTCI have no experiences in using it myself, but I was told that the data security in Kofi is not so good, for example I could see the real life name of a user I sent money to once, which he really didn't liked. Patreon is way more popular and I guess the fees reflect a part of that.
