"Whoa! What was that?!" Cynthia exclaimed as she was suddenly awoken from her nap. She looked around, trying to gather her bearings. She kept blinking, but something was strange, everything felt out of focus and distant. She didn't immediately recognize anything around her, yet it all seemed familiar at the same time...

The room was expansive, the grey floor seemed to go on for ages. Around her were strange structures that she couldn't see a purpose for, were they buildings? But what most caught her eye were the two strange pink pillars in front of her, they had a strange part jutting out from the front of the base-

"Yoo hoo!"

Cynthia jumped at the sound of sound of Dawn's voice booming from somewhere.

"Dawn?! Keep it down! Don't shout like that! Where... are you?..." Cynthia shouted out in confusion, her voice gradually lowering in volume as the puzzle pieces started to click together in her head. Of course Dawn's voice had startled her... Dawn always had to shout to be heard. Because she's so small it was the only way to hear her. So. Why was she so loud now? Why were her surroundings so familiar. And again, why... Were those pink pillars so oddly shaped...

Cynthia's eyes widened as they slowly scanned up beyond the massive pink boots, up the titan in front of her, until her eyes met Dawn's far above her.

"AAAHHHHHHHHH!" All thoughts stopped in Cynthia's head and all she could do is scream in horror as she looked upon the enormous Dawn towering above her.

"Well well well, you're looking a bit different today aren't you Cynthia?"

Dawn smugly asked. This was exhilarating, she never could've imagined her revenge would go so perfectly and now she was overflowing with emotions. She held her hands on her hips, utterly relishing the sudden power shift between her and her previous 'owner'. She wanted to stand up straight just to exaggerate her stature even more. But she practically had to lean down just to see Cynthia. Despite the excitement she still felt eager with rage. She could barely keep her right foot on the ground. There was an itching temptation to crush Cynthia right there and then, the satisfaction would be imeasurable, a total seizure of power. But no, she was going to savour every moment of this revenge. Now Cynthia would finally understand how helpless Dawn's situation made her feel. Cynthia would wish she was in Dawn's position.

'NONONONONO' Cynthia thought. This couldn't be happening, she had nightmares about this sort of situation for ages now, she was basically the leading researcher into size manipulation. But that didn't mean much when almost nothing was known about that field of science. She was always so worried and cautious about something going wrong. Afterall Dawn was living proof of the consequences. It wasn't until rampant Giantesses started popping up recently that Cynthia became so terrified. She had heard how corrupting and devastating power like that could be. Though she never expected to have a nightmare about Dawn as a giantess. Dawn was like a daughter to her, yet everything looked and felt so real...

"Aww look at your stupid tiny brain trying to figure everything out. Or maybe you were already stupid, afterall. Didn't you tell me no one knew how the orb worked? I seem to have managed alright."

Dawn's voice was filled with hatred and contempt. She didn't really care what Cynthia had to say at this point. She was convinced this was what the blonde deserved. Now Dawn just wanted to see her squirm.

"What? I- Dawn is this real? Wait, oh my god, you didn't even grow did you? Did- did you shrink me?! How small am I?! Please tell me you didn't do this on purpose?! You have to listen to me!" Cynthia's serious tone was lost as even to the 6.5cm Dawn, Cynthia's voice sounded quite high pitched. Afterall at this size, Cynthia was less than a couple of millimeters tall.

"Have to?! I don't have to listen to anything you say to me, bug! You lied to me and tricked me! You thought I was useless at this size, so what does that make you now?!"

"I never said that! Is that what this is about?! I'm sorry I didn't tell you about the orb! Just-'

_

Suddenly Cynthia was enveloped once more in the strange blue light. Cynthia's heart sank at the same rate as her height. Within a couple of seconds Cynthia shrank to a quarter of her size.

Cynthia had always thought it was a bit depressing when she spent hours on hours trying to find a solution to Dawn's shrinking at her little desk. Now, she was helpless to watch as that same little desk grew into an overwhelming expanse around her.

"No way! That's so funny, I thought you were done, I guess you just didn't feel small enough huh?"

Cynthia was in shock, she was panicking, trying to gather her thoughts but she was still struggling to take in her surroundings. Dawn's now booming voice didn't help, Cynthia had to cover her ears just to hear her own thoughts.

"Jeez, at my size I can barely do anything myself. But look at you! Thanks for wasting all that time on your research! Think of all the notes you can take... Ah wait, what a shame, at this point I think you could spend your whole life trying to slightly move a pencil, and it still wouldn't work! Bahahaha!"

"Dawn, please!-" Dawn immediately cut Cynthia off as if she hadn't said a word.

"I say your whole life, but do you even count as life at this point?! Seriously, look at you! You're microscopic, if it wasn't for me, do you think anyone would even notice your existence?"

Dawn held nothing back, at this point despite her utter contempt, she almost felt a bit bad. But she had no intention of stopping, these feelings had been building for a year. This could be her only chance to gloat, afterall, this was only half of her plan.

Cynthia couldn't believe what she was her hearing. She remembered Dawn as a sweet aspiring trainer, how could she have become so cruel? Cynthia thought she was caring for Dawn, sure she knew she could be a bit overbearing, but was that so bad? Had she made Dawn become like this? Whatever the reality, whatever Cynthia said, right now, that didn't matter, right now she had a duty. Dawn didn't know just how dangerous these experiments were. She didn't know because Cynthia didn't tell her. She had to correct that mistake. "Dawn, I'm sorry ok!"

Dawn's eyes narrowed, there was nothing Cynthia could say that would matter right now, but she was curious. Maybe the few good times they had almost made Dawn want there to be some justification.

"I should've told you everything, yes, ok I wasn't the only one running size experiments. And yes... Another shrunken person managed to grow back." Dawn's eyebrows furrowed in anger and her boot started tapping in impatient anger. Cynthia ignored her fear and continued "But they weren't fixed! These experiments are dangerous, just listen to me!-"

_

Cynthia's eyes widened. "NO!" Once more the blue light enveloped her. She had finally been getting through to Dawn, why now?! She shrank once more, again a quarter of her previous size.

"PFFFT HAHAHAHAHA!"

Cynthia covered her ears in pain as the titanic tiny Dawn let out a booming hysterical laugh. She tried to stiffle her laughter, but couldn't hide how hillarious she found Cynthia's predicament.

"I didn't think it was possible to be more pathetic! There's barely anything left of you!"

Cynthia's shouted at the top of her voice! "Wait please I need to tell you what happened to the others!".... It was no use, all Dawn heard was a faint squeak.

"HAHAHAA! Well, you told me to listen! I don't hear anything? Guess you're done! So am I, at this point I must look crazy trying to communicate with a speck. Welp, it was nice knowing you Cynthia, champion of nothing. I think I saw a fruit fly earlier, careful it doesn't accidentally step on you."

As Dawn turned away, no longer paying attention to Cynthia it felt like a plane leaving her behind on a tiny secluded island with no hope of escape. The normally stoic champions eyes started to swell with tears as the reality of her situation sank in. She was microscopic, surely around 0.1mm. The only person capable of seeing her didn't care. Cynthia was the lead scientist in size research, she had just spent a year failing to grow even one person back. And now, she was too small to ever interact with her own equipment, in fact even if someone did try and use the experimental growth sequence on her, she was too small for the targetting systems... She was stuck like this. Dawn was right, she would probably spend the rest of her life on this desk, totally insignificant. She looked up at Dawn's ankle. It reached as high up as a multiple story house. Yet only moments ago she had been that tall. Minutes before that, Dawn barely reached her own ankle. She sat there, slumped, quietly accepting her fate.
