So, a while back I showed you fine folks some analog-media page roughs for a new test story from fantasy project The Last Party:
So, I worked up a pose rough for the Half-Orc Healer character in Clip Studio Paint on the ol' iPad:
...then I sent it over the ol' PC, where I worked up a CSP page on the ol' Wacom Cintiq:
...and started inking the page for a 20-minute shift* before getting slammed by the mysterious phenomenon I've dubbed "the Cintiq instant hangover." I can't even remotely explain it, but occasionally working on my Cintiq tablet rapidly induces a peculiar, presumably psychosomatic sensation eerily akin to a hangover, an effect that lingers for hours afterward; I don't get the same effect when working on the iPad or drawing manually. Mysterious, I say!
(*Note that I have to get up and walk around every 20-odd minutes when working on my PC; otherwise, the peculiar form of sciatica I've contracted starts acting up. Once again, I don't get this back-pain side-effect when working on my drawing table, whether with analog media or iPad.)
Anyhoo, after racking up the enigmatic "Cintiq hangover," I said "screw this" to CSP on the PC for the time being and switched over to analog media, transferring the rough to a sheet of Bristol board:
On the first two panels, I used a mix of inks (PITT Artist Pen and various Sharpies) and pencil shading, before switching over to inks-only for panel 3. In fact, I might go back and erase the pencil tones from panels 1 and 2, though the 8B pencil lead(!) I used might not be amenable to erasing.
Onward to the next analog-media page. Here's the rough you've (probably) seen:
...and my light pencil underdrawing for panel 1, leveled up in Photoshop to make its faint lines legible:
Onward to the pencil-free inks:
(Note: Just had to take my first 20-minute anti-sciatica break while working on this post!)
With this test page, I was mainly trying to get myself reaccustomed to working "inks-only," as opposed to the mix of pencils and inks I've long used on Empowered. However, this artistic approach is far too slow, time-consuming, and detail-intensive to be viable going forward; my next step with this test story will involve an attempt to "go looser" as I try to wean Artist Me off the tedious perfectionism that has long proven a bane to my productivity.
Next up, with page three of this Last Party short story I'm planning to work up the page in CSP (iOS) and see if I can't produce something akin to the previous page in digital media. Here's the initial analog rough:

I'm currently tightening up the rough on the iPad, and may have just stumbled across an insight that might prove useful for future digital-media artwork.
NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: No idea, TBH, but something should be coming up in the next M/W/F slot. Let's find out together, shall we?
