Behold, a slightly puzzling "Endpage" comic I wrote and drew for the videogame magazine PSM back in the summer of the bygone year 2006, this time riffing on the topic of, uh, music-genre fighting games(?) for either the Playstation 2 or PS3. Now, this strip must have been loosely inspired by some then-current videogame along those lines, but I must confess that I no longer have any idea whatsoever as to what the hell that game might have been:

A cursory Google search is of no avail, alas; the file seems to have been created in August 2006, well before the PS3's release at the end of the year, so this might possibly be referring to a Playstation 2 game.
If I could dig up my comp copy of the PSM issue, that might clarify what music-genre fighting game(?) this piece was riffing on, but for now said inspiration shall remain a mystery.
UPDATE: As helpfully sussed out in the comments below, the music-genre fighting game that inspired this piece was one Def Jam: Icon. Lordy loo!

BTW, "Zone of the Stoners" is a reference to Zone of the Enders, a Hideo Kojima(!) series for Konami about which I had entirely forgotten, presumably because I never played any game from the franchise.
Those faux logos aren't too bad for pencil-based lettering, gotta say.
NEXT TIME ON THIS HERE PATREON: No idea, TBH, but something should be coming up in the next M/W/F slot. Let's find out together, shall we?
