Getting your house in order often means making a huge mess. In the end, I'm hoping you'll end up with the home you truly want. 🍀 ☘️ 🍀

Lovin' the new circular shelf location. Does give me an itch to move the other pictures to the right a bit so it has some breathing room...

I shall consider this to be part 1 of the official tour. Anyway, when it comes to assembling things, i think i got something upside down on every item since moving in, including my bed, which turns out, had been assembled wrong for the entire previous decade! I have no specific plans for diy projects right now, but i have been considering rearranging the living room, if that counts.

I'm motivated to make cheese (okay, I was doing that when I started watching this, but hey).

If you spent more than an hour trying to get the sims to rung, you've likely tried things like DosBox, and may have even seen the recent Linus Tech Tips video about it - but in case you haven't, and want to try again: https://youtu.be/mWEE2RJj3YI?si=x8_9GWOD4O59JvlG

That's what I wanted to say!

In my family of DIYers, if you didn't draw blood, you didn't do a good job. 😉

With a bit of planning you could store the swords on the sloped ceiling - 2 hooks per sword. One hook just below the guard/quillions, one farther down the blade. Use "flat" hooks so the plane of the blade parallels the ceiling. The basket-hilt obviously requires the hooks to be spaced a bit farther from the ceiling. Just be careful not to bump your head on the blades!

Then she'd have to find somewhere to store the impaled bodies of her enemies. They just keep slumping, and they rot, and attract insects and other rodents. That's just not a good idea, unless you're going to freeze them in carbonite.

would mounting the swords on the back of the door make for an interesting display and would also act as a background for some videos

Can you store your swords in the bodies or your enemies or will that make them rust?

I use a sword wall for sword storage. It's just a wall with swords and knives on hangers. It is definitely not child safe but does provide a nice talking piece and probably would intimidate a burglar should they show up.
