Phantom of the Opera - This Swordfight is ⚔️Pointless⚔️

Hope you're all having a lovely day! Thank you for your well wishes for Nemo, he's feeling much better, though he is still on antibiotics. Please enjoy this Phantom of the Opera sword fight, and do comment if you See What I Did There :D

Blackadder: "Life without you is like a broken pencil." Queenie: "Explain." Blackadder: "Pointless."

I like the movie for the music. Please review the theater sword fight in the 1952 movie “Scaramouche”. It’s a long sword fight ranging all over the theater: The boxes, the floor seats, the stage and backstage.

I just saw an ad for a week long course for stage combat (short sword) in April in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I can't make the dates, and I can't afford it right now, and I'm sad and angry (sangry?) about both of these things. I had no idea it was even a thing up here (though logicallyI should have). But now I really want to do it- one more thing to dream about and spend my meager salary on. (one baby step to my dream of one day fighting Jill -_- ) /moan over. #PoorPeopleProblems :(

Aaaah - happy memories! Around the time the film came out, I was living with a friend who was very into musicals, and I previously, had not been. Via alcohol, she managed to change my mind, and we regularly used to have friends around, and drunkenly sing along, "very well". 😂 As such, I had completely forgotten that this existed, so cheers for the reminder! 🤣

Is the Phantom an incel? Or is he too competent to be an incel?

Pardon my snark, but: - The difference between a white horse and a grey horse is "counting", apparently :P - EDIT: Okay, I "see what you did there". -Playing a French(-ish) man is the closest Gerard Butler has come to playing Gérard Butler (Scottish joke about how people pronounce his name). - Like many a rich basement nerd, the Phantom thinks having a fancy sword (with a silver skull guard) makes him a good fighter. - That Phantom of the Opera movie review might have been the very first Sursum Ursa video I ever watched....once again, you are making me feel old :'(

Raule and the Phantom both learnt *stage combat* and so are very good at *pretending* to hit each other. Neither of them actually know how to fight in a lethal way. I appreciate every time you mention "bad continuity" you doing a left/right flip of your video but I think you could have leant into that harder by changing one of the pictures behind you or changing your hoodie.

I did see what you did there.

Puns always welcome
