Draco did make an attempt at the first meeting but got publicly slapped down by Potter and after that it was warring camps because the Voldemort war was still on under the surface. Slytherin pupils would have been caught between Death Eaters who hated Harry for existing and the unaware who'd have seen both their peers and Snape being hostile to Harry and followed the mob. More mature Slytherin would have tried to falsely befriend Harry, like Barry Jr did so effectively and devastatingly, but the rest were kids. But, yeah, it would have been an interesting sub plot. Just as well we have fanfic 😉

2025-06-10 14:07:13 +0000 UTCI feel like not having some Slytherins sincerely or insincerely befriend Harry Potter was a wasted opportunity. Slytherins are supposed to be interested in powerful people. Slughorn and Snape are obsessed with Harry and Hermione. The Slytherin students... seem like Hufflepuffs with money. Particularly, I think Harry having a Slytherin girlfriend would have made for all kinds of drama and plot twists.

The bookshelf-halo made so many people happy that I didn't want to rain on their parade, but it was distracting to me. This is nicer. So thanks for this one, even of you do decide to go back to your previos angle in future videos.
