When I heard it, I immediately thought of four raccoons in a trench coat, visiting the market. But I like your characterization of the square relationship.

2025-06-28 13:02:37 +0000 UTCI watched the first season and found it thoroughly enjoyable. My favourite ship will be WHEN THEY FIND EACH OTHER'S SECRET IDENTITIES and it becomes ONE ship in a trench coat.

2025-06-28 12:16:10 +0000 UTCAs a naval history enthusiast the whole phrasing has always caused me massive cognitive dissonance. And this was long before KanCol/Azure Lane got thrown into the mix. Because, yes, my first question was to try to figure out whether we were talking Tall Ships (and how one arranged the trenchcoat around all the spars), Ironclad ships, Steam & Steel ships, or missile era ships.

2025-06-28 11:56:18 +0000 UTCI was very tickled by the "four ships in a trench coat" and couldn't care less about said named ships. Entertaining anyway

2025-06-28 11:12:29 +0000 UTCLike how Clark Kent loves Lois Lane but she's only got eyes for Superman. Or how Bruce Wayne likes Selina Kyle while Catwoman keeps flirting with Batman.
