You may like the Bobiverse. The government has decided that uploaded minds have no rights, so they take one - Bob - and puts him to run an AI. They also clone Bob, so there are many Bobs running around. We are Legion (We are Bob) is the first book.

2025-07-26 13:22:43 +0000 UTCI absolutely love "A Civil Campaign", it's my favorite of the series with "Captain Vorpatril's Alliance" (which gives Ivan a starring role and romance of his own) a very close second. I cannot recommend them or the series as a whole enough.

2025-07-22 12:57:42 +0000 UTCAnd if you'd find it interesting to hear Bujold superfans review the books from their POVs as romance authors/readers, check out the podcast series by Plot Trysts: https://plottrysts.wordpress.com/category/bujold-lois-mcmaster/ I'm doing a re-read/re-listen to the series, then listening to the corresponding podcast just for fun! They do notice different things than I do, so it's adding a new dimension for me.

2025-07-21 14:26:33 +0000 UTCI love The Vorkosigan Saga! If you haven't tried them already, I would highly recommend The Liadan Universe (also started in 1988, then a 10 yr gap after the 1st 3) by Sharon and Steve Miller. Agent of Change is a good place to start as the first published. There are a few good "jumping in points" for different storylines focusing on different characters and where they merge as a clan. Also, since you mentioned your husband's Honor Harrington books, (yes, I know Weber does have a tendency to get technical especially with tactics- I love it, not everyone does, but the characters are amazing) did you read any of them? I feel like you may have mentioned it at some point, but I'm too old and lazy to spend time searching through your videos! 👵🫠

2025-07-21 13:25:51 +0000 UTCI still believe to the depths of my soul that the omnibus volume for the arc introducing Miles’ clone should have been titled, “Miles, Mark Too.” (I have been reading since The Vor Game came out.)
