SCARAMOUCHE (Can You Do the Fandango?)
Added 2025-08-26 18:08:15 +0000 UTCThe longest swordfight in cinema (well, until that other one, but it was rubbish and we don't talk about it). Welcome to a very highly requested video, I hope you enjoy it :)

Waited until I could watch in one sitting, and Thank Goodness I did! Always great! Wonderful breakdown.

2025-08-28 07:24:38 +0000 UTCThat was fun. May I recommend this quick 50sec spectacle? Dual wielder vs dual wielder fantasy sword enthusiasts. Chaotic, and made for a spectacle rather than any proper fencing technique, but still fun to watch YouTube: Amalgam Sword Company Drizzt Do'Urden vs Artemis Entreri Take 2 (Adam Lytle vs Shahaub Roudbari)

2025-08-27 00:52:29 +0000 UTCAbsolutely lovely review/video, Jill! Apparently I've never seen Scaramouche; if I watch it now, I'll certainly have the tools to deeply appreciate the duels! As a huge fan of Star Wars, I obviously loved the Revenge of the Sith fight but I can't remember if you reviewed that one?

2025-08-26 20:29:30 +0000 UTCI think the reason they're not made this way anymore is that this was perfect. How can you improve upon it? But if you make your own thing, you can make it in your own way.

2025-08-26 18:40:31 +0000 UTCFun fact - Abraham and Sarah were half-siblings. Abraham wasn't kidding when he told the Pharaoh of Egypt that they were brother and sister. Edit: We need a review of Excalibur. The fights were all improvised to look more real. True story. (Well, at least some of the fights were. I don't know if they all were. I suggest Lancelot vs. Arthur, which ends with... no, that would be telling.)

2025-08-26 18:33:12 +0000 UTCDamn. Over a year in the making. I remember you saying you might get round to it a year ago in Glasgow xD So I have high expectations for this one, Jill.
