Shaming Will Continue Until Service Improves
Added 2025-09-15 09:51:48 +0000 UTCAt least the audiobook is still available on Patreon and Audible. And I guess maybe Apple as well? Anyway, I'll let you know how it goes.

Is it possible your book "fell in the cracks" between their company transition? Any possibility of you resubmitting it to the new company?

2025-09-17 18:10:26 +0000 UTCI'm sure you've already thought of this, but is there a reason you can't go with a different company to do your distribution? If these have consistently been utterly useless, sticking with them seems like banging your head against a spikey wall?

2025-09-16 02:12:45 +0000 UTCWorst case, something to report to Writer Beware? A company that can't/won't actually fulfill its contracts is one that *everyone* should be aware of.

2025-09-16 00:25:06 +0000 UTCThat last email is exactly what I would expect if I asked a generative AI to stall, without telling it the nature of the complaint or what type of business it works for. Bonus points for picking the name 'June' from your email.

2025-09-15 23:26:50 +0000 UTCWe have a service that will make your life easier. Someone uses said service Nothing happens Service charges company name Still nothing happens Hey that’s a business model I can replicate. I wonder what services I should offer. Suggestions appreciated.

2025-09-15 18:46:11 +0000 UTCDon’t ever feel bad about publicly shaming companies. For every person like you who has enough followers to make the companies respond, there are probably dozens or hundreds who they’ve f’ed over.

2025-09-15 12:40:54 +0000 UTCDetailed British shaming is a special kind of shame, and I'll keep watching, hoping for a resolution but maybe enjoying this a little too much while it lasts. Sounds like a disaster of a re-org. Everything seemed to go into various states of bricked and on fire, sometimes both. They got spun off of Spotify (previously Findaway Audio was owned by then, so perhaps that explains some of the odd responses) to become independent. I don't know what that did to their workforce. Did they buy themselves out to go independent, or did Spotify shed them and cut off support? Maybe they were caught up in some CEO's belief that AI will fix their staffing problems. Good luck!

2025-09-15 11:47:09 +0000 UTCThat customer service is just ridiculous! Firt they don't even inform you they changed platforms, and then they try to gaslight you?

2025-09-15 10:45:28 +0000 UTCI could be generous and say a hostile takeover (I assume) could delay things, especially with a sudden discontinued domain. But this is fairly ridiculous... It might just be faster to create a new InVoice account and resubmit to get the automated tasks going. XD
