Hello my friends, sorry for dropping off the face of the earth over the weekend! The weather turned beautiful, it was cold but sunny, so I spent most of it in the middle of nowhere basicallyπTo make the most of the time, I was running the 3D printer every day. First of all I printed some German helmets and grenades which I found on Thingiverse. I might hang a couple of them on the Jagdtiger because they look pretty nice! I'm not sure if the grenades are in scale, even though I scaled them down according to actual measurements, but they still seem quite long to me.
Anyway, the other round of printing was about 1/200 WW1 tanks. These are also on Thingiverse for free and they look pretty awesome πUnfortunately this is where the printer reaches its limits and even if they may not seem like it, the only successful print is the FT-17. The K-Wagen came out the worst with a very bad shift in print layers in its upper half. It got me into some researching though and I learned new stuff about how to print better models, and also got a better idea about what's on the market these days πSo I'll be probably getting a new, better printer sooner or later. Right now I'm torn between Anycubic Photon Mono SE and Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K. Both around 300β¬ pricetag, but I'm not going to buy anything on a whim just yet. The point is, painting these tanks would be a lot of fun, of course if they printed without any defects :)
