Just Space Me Now Ep 12: CALI, NO! (CALI: Yes.)
Added 2025-11-06 13:01:37 +0000 UTCThank you for your bug fixes on episode 11, the front was indeed cut off! I have also transplanted the end of 11 into the front of 12 instead, as it did indeed cut off a touch abruptly.
I had a great time on Unsplash looking for backgrounds for this episode XD

It's possible that they hadn't realised that Bren had spotted them, and so asking for the Star Parts shipyards was a tactic to make it look less suspicious when they followed her in. Having them NOT be the Hostiles would add yet another group to the list of 'dangerous people and/or eejits' - which already includes Ted (who took the news that he'd been StopDropped and dumped in a waste tank remarkably calmly, and never suggested informing whatever authorities exist), whoever put him in the waste tank, the ship's former owners (who seem to have wanted it sold extremely quickly, given the price), Hostiles One and Two (assuming they're not the same people as the followers) and Steve (a robot the ship's computer didn't know about). In fact, the only person that Bren has met so far that doesn't seem to be hiding something is Evan - which could be considered a reason for suspecting him!

So they think he's still on the ship, if not dead in the tank. The object might have been a locator beacon, which Steve has tucked away with other interesting junk collected around the ship while cleaning up, so it still looks like Ted is on the ship. Perhaps Ted was dumped in the tank as a holding measure, with the locator added to his pocket (so he doesn't know it was there), by people who didn't realize the unpaid docking fees were going to result in a fast sale.
