We have paid a couple dollars a month to have $6000 insurance on my wifeβs for 25 years now. In 2020 her ring fell off for the first time ever when she took out the garbage. She had lost weight. After looking for 2 days we called USAA and said the ring was lost. They just said if itβs still gone after 7 days call and they would send us a $6000 check. The next day we found it in the gutter in front of our house. Good thing it had not rained. Still surprised how easy the claim was going to be.

You made a couple of references to someone "showing up on financial audit" that did not make sense to my auditor brain. In the US, 'financial audit' refers to a review of the financial statements at a business, organization, or government, and generally doesn't apply to individuals.
