TV rules were very weird back in the day. In addition to couples not being allowed to sleep in the same bed, pregnancy & showing toilets on screen were banned ๐

Episode 2 is based on โBewitchedโ where the wife is a witch and the husband is an ad exec. The show ran from the โ60 to the 70โs, and was the first tv program to show a couple in bed together. I can see why you thought it was inspired by The Jetsons โ the animated series is also from the 1960โs and Bewitchedโs opening credits featured similar animations.
