After being missing for centuries, Metatron’s descendants were tainted by the blood of the fallen watchers. The fallen watchers found that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they decided to mate with them. As a result, these offspring gained power that no mere mortals could fathom.

Since the balance of the genealogy has been ruined again, the cost of this great prowess is the degradation of their genes. One by one, the lifespan of these Nephilims has been halved. After decades of walking on Earth’s soil, these men became monkeys. They did not evolve. They devolved.
