Cover Song #10: Ghost In This House

As you might imagine, I've been learning lots of haunting songs in preparation for next week's online show WITH YOU IN SPIRIT. The idea was actually built around this song, since it fits the season so well... and since I love Allison Krauss so very much. It wasn't until I started to learn this song that I realized HOW SLOW Allison sings it. Such patience. Such beauty. Since it was just me and my electric guitar, I picked up the tempo a little bit, and double timed the picking pattern in the verses to fill it out.
This song was written by Hugh Prestwood, who is in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. You've probably heard his other works... "The Song Remembers When," which Trisha Yearwood recorded, and "Hard Time for Lovers" which Judy Collins made a hit. What a writer!
