Never Just A Word was the result of a three way Zoom co-write in February 2021. On the screen were two writers... Kenny Foster (whose music I have absolutely loved since I heard him a few years ago!) and Kenny's friend and collaborator, Chris Rafetto. Luckily they knew each other well, and had a well established creative flow together. I was really struggling to write that day. I almost cancelled cause my head was all over the place. But thankfully, there was a song waiting to be written:
The Morgan Wallen incident had just happened. The three of us started talking about the importance of knowing how your words land on other people. This song is the result of that conversation. Huge thanks to Kenny and Chris for being such great collaborators, and for encouraging me to share this song here on Patreon. I hope it means something to you.
