July requests and sketches part 2 + UPDATE

But now let's talk about August and September!

This summer flew by with big changes happening in my life as well as a lot of serious thinking about future career choices. As you know I've been very focused on looking for a job this year, but with how that has been going I've started shifting my focus more on my current work.

Back in 2021 when I started my Patreon page with the current tiers and benefits, I was in a very different place in my life, my work, and well... I didn't really have the experience I have now. Right now the very repetitive cycle of each month has gotten too draining and with so much focus on requests, I haven't had much time to draw whatever I want. And most of all, now that I've been trying to get a reasonable work/life balance, I can't keep up with the expectations I've set for myself.

So that being said, I've decided to take September off my regular Patreon cycle (So I'll be pausing billing sometime in late August) and think about what I want to create here on a blank paper. I already know that that will likely not include requests (at least as a regular part of it) as I want to find more time for my own ideas and possibly proper commissions. I also think that I might ditch the monthly full-color piece and focus more on comics but all those little details will get clearer when the time comes. I do hope I can take some time to create my fully original work too (maybe I'll have a separate tier where you can subscribe just for my fan content but we'll see).

This means that at least for tier 3's requests, August will be the final month to get those! I also plan on taking some longer comics off the platform. These changes will start happening during September and I'll make a more detailed post when the time for the pause comes.

So August will be the same as always, but starting September my tiers and perks will change.  I haven't figured out the exact timing of the billing pause yet, but it will likely happen from late August to late September. I hope you stick around to see what the future brings!
