May's MotM Preview - Stagbridge
Added 2024-04-07 15:06:40 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
Time to preview the MotM - the village of Stagbridge!
We actually sketched Stagbridge on paper about 8 years ago, and it was added to the list of 'make one day' but was never done - until now!

It's a nice big 60x60 map, so plenty of approach space, and lots of buildings in the village. There's even an old ruin nearby to explore. Surely a loose flagstone leads to a dungeon, right?
The variants will be winter village, and then summer and winter 'Forest Bridge', where we've taken away the village and it's a bridge in a forested wilderness.

Time for your ideas please! What else could this location be? How could we modify it to make it into something new? Ideas in the comments, and we'll pick our favourites to go into a poll!
Have a great day!

Add some caves below like Brooklime gorge - or if possible tweek so this map and brooklime could be added together ? Oh and add a broken version of the bridge as an overlay

2024-04-08 18:54:20 +0000 UTCA strategically important location with an easy to defend bridge location. I would place a fort or at least a tower there to control the bridge and collect taxes. Like a bigger version of your Rivergate Fort map. And when I read the title first, I missread it as StaRbridge and was suprised to not see stars. So maybe a Spelljammer version with two floating islands connected over the bridge with the river replaced with a look on the stars beneath?

2024-04-08 08:09:18 +0000 UTCPerhaps a more Feywild version of the Forest Bridge variant? Lots of colors, magical lights, briars and the like.

2024-04-08 04:57:34 +0000 UTCI would like a version where the village is replaced with old ruins similar to the old ruin on the current map.

2024-04-08 04:11:24 +0000 UTCI'd take the exact same map, just with the river a lot wider. I find that bridges become less important in play when PCs can just jump narrow rivers. I'd like to see more rivers that are too wide for super-PCs to jump.

2024-04-07 23:26:28 +0000 UTCHow about remove the bridge and make the river a fissure, like the ground is being ripped open by an earthquake? And maybe make the buildings similarly distressed.

2024-04-07 21:25:54 +0000 UTCPerhaps the river could be replaced with an Dark abyss. The military settlement could be an outpost to a larger Drow City - (the Megamap) ❤️👍
