June's MotM preview - The Lost Library of Caddeus (plus variants!)

Hey everyone,

Time for some previews!

The next Map of the Month is this lovely ruined and forgotten library. It's a 30x40 map, with plenty of variety - caves, secret doors, alternate routes etc.

Variants

We've also created the three variants of this map, and I think a couple of them are quite unique. The themes are slime, bees and lava!

 

 

 

Alt Version

The time has come, once again, as it does every month.. to suggest alt versions of the MotM (or one of the variants if you'd prefer). How we can we reimagine this map? How can we change it? What else could it be? What environment would you prefer?

Yes, I'm afraid so. So, I looked through the suggested ideas and just picked one, because my scheduled 'Alt Map work day' came around. I went with a non-ruined version of the library :)

I would like to see it turned into the headquarters of a martial religious order. Perhaps where the party's monk or paladin must go to train? Or where a zealot-led splinter faction of the order has established itself.

Why not simply the active version of the library with its bookshelves, rugs on the floors and so on. Some of us do have other libraries but the antique version of this one makes for scenarios possibilities.

It looks to me like if you made just a couple of tweaks, you could have an underground river splitting the dungeon in two, with a bridge across on the right.
