Annual Patron Survey Responses

Hello all!

A bit over a month ago many of you took the time to respond to our annual patron survey, something I truly appreciate you doing. After having reviewed and mulled over the responses as a collective, I of course wanted to share with you how that feedback is going to impact my output over the next year:

Foundry VTT Materials

It's been made clear to me that a significant majority of those of you playing online are doing so via Foundry. I'm taking steps to procure some folks so that we can once again start converting our map content to be foundry-ready.

Content from Alternative Genres

There were significant margins of interest displayed towards content of a more horror or science fiction nature. This was of course when omitting standard fantasy fare. Not 100% sure how this will impact releases in the year ahead, but I know of an upcoming project that I'll be sharing with you all soon that will dip into this realm.

Societal Assets

Among the various 'new' asset theme options I listed, Societal Assets (pieces designed specifically for dwarves, elves, goblinoids, etc.) were far and away the most popular suggestion. Expect to see the first installation in this series very soon.

Castle Assets

Similarly, the existing Castle Assets theme was pretty distinguishably the existing asset theme with the most backing behind it (of options given that hadn't received an update in some time). This one will probably take me a little longer to break ground on and get out to you, but it's been added to my production queue when it had previously not been there.

Natural Biomes

There was a moderate indication of majority interest in generally seeing more of a push towards expanding either biomes that haven't seen an update in a while or ones that haven't been touched at all (if one in particular comes to mind for you, please let me know in the comments below). I'll be sure to have that influence the asset release schedule in the months ahead.

Asset Searching

With every new pack released, I'm reminded of the enormous size of the asset library and how this can at times make it difficult for you to find what you need in a timely fashion. This in combination with multiple requests in the survey have led me to begin work on a text-based, searchable reference resource that will list every single asset by name. This should be ready to share with you all in the near future.

Smaller Changes

Thins that aren't changing

In the poll I'd asked after a variety of things like release structure and pace, ratio of asset packs to maps, etc. Here are a couple of instances where feedback was either majority in the "don't change" response or spread out enough across the spectrum of possible responses that it was clear that what I was doing was already the median course of action:
