This week astrologically we are beginning Scorpio season with the Sun located in the ancient eagle constellation, which is now Conjunct Mars. Scorpio season is a deep, intense and transformational journey into the underworld which signifies the shadow or hidden aspects of ourselves. This time annually is a time of digging deep within to either surface or transmute what does not serve our higher being or what can actually benefit us, but we are to afraid to show to the world. Scorpio season is not a time to fear as this is considered the most powerful sign of the Zodiac due to its destructive and regenerative nature (death and rebirth) and thus the Sun is sending strong, transformative frequencies to each of us to help us evolve and step into our own power, transmuting low emotions such as fear and anger into higher emotions such as love and compassion. This is the journey of the inner work that the ancients always spoke about.

To further emphasise the above, we find the ruling planet of Scorpio, Mars, Conjunct the Sun in its home sign, Scorpio. Mars is the masculine planet of strength, war, power, initiation, drive, and passion. These two planets in conjunction at the beginning of Scorpio season will more so feel like we have been literally kicked or thrown out of Libra season into Scorpio season before we can catch our breath. This week may feel like a massive shedding of old aspects of ourselves which can be experienced through emotional or physical detox. It's important to hold yourself strong with the knowledge of the butterfly that will evolve from this cocoon. In this moment, the beauty ahead may not be visible, but this cleansing process is removing the old and birthing the new. With fiery Mars combining his energy with the Sun, we are highly energetic and proactive during this transit. We are feeling extremely passionate and eager to take action. Any action, adventure, new projects or initiation we partake in during this transit will have us feeling intense emotions and passion for the experience to the point where we must not overly invest ourselves into the activity that if our hopes are let down we don't react in a harmful way.

The Sun in Scorpio this week is making a number of aspects to a few planets with the first being a harmonious Trine to Spiritual Neptune in Pisces. This aspect is occurring between two feminine water signs which means this transit will mostly affect us internally (emotionally). This placement is deepening our connection with the divine/higher self. This is an opportunity for extreme spiritual growth, transformation from our lower selves into our more higher aspects of self, and to strengthen our connection with God or whatever your belief involves. Whether you partake in prayer or not, this week is an extremely powerful and meaningful week to take a short amount of time each day to either express your gratitude to the divine or to simply say prayer. Furthermore, this week all occult/spiritual practices such as Tarot to connect with the subconscious realms are cleared up meaning you may find there is a clearer channel with the divine when other weeks there have been blockages. This week, take advantage of this "portal" to actively strengthen your connection with the unseen realms that involve love, belief and faith.

The Moon is full on Monday the 27th AEST in the Earth sign of Taurus bringing stability and foundation to our emotions during this Moon phase. Full Moons are a time of emotional release and endings but with the Full Moon in Taurus currently Opposite the Sun in the waters of Scorpio, this Full Moon will be highly impactful and transformational. I suggest staying in during this Full Moon in a place where your feel secure, safe and grounded. The Sun's Scorpionic energies, in combination with the Moon Trine Pluto, are powering this Full Moon with a swing of destructiveness in order to birth new emotions but this will destabilise your current emotions as Scorpio is Opposite Taurus in the zodiac wheel. To avoid feeling emotional insecure and unstable as a result of Scorpio's influence, possibly occurring either internally or externally, practice emotionally grounding activities beginning with staying in situations that are familiar, reliable and with people you trust.

Finally, in regards to the Sun this week, there is a Square aspect to the great 'Father of Time', Saturn which is still at home in the Aquarius constellation. These planets of the heart and limitations, making a hard Square between the zodiac signs of water and air, brings intense lessons about our heart felt passions and our cravings for freedom and individuality. This aspects brings a contrast between how we want to appear to the world vs. how we truly feel internally. In this specific case, our heart desires depth and passion, but our responsibilities are limiting our freedom to achieve this. This week, take some time with a pen and paper to write down your goals and aspirations, and list what in your life is supporting your goals and what is holding you back from achieving them. From here, you will have a clearer vision on how you can reduce restrictions on your path to success.

Overall, this week is extremely significant in the grand scheme of our astrological year with a powerful Full Moon tonight, lessons about our heart and desires, a great opportunity to deepen our connection with the divine, and a time of intense deaths and rebirths within our inner and outer world.
