4th - 10th December 2023: Weekly True Sidereal Astrology Forecast

This week we still have the Sun in Scorpio Conjunct Mars in Scorpio intensifying our drive and motivations. We are acting sharply and strategically, our words are blunt and honest and can cut "like a sword".  Scorpio's black and white nature flavours Mars to become more impulsive and intense. We are serious about our passions and would work endlessly to overcome any challenges. 

On the subject of our emotions we look to the Moon. This week we find the Moon making a harmonious Trine to Mercury, our mind and voice. Currently, our thoughts, logic and communication is being supported by our emotions, empathy and intuition. We are making decisions from a watery place within our feelings and emotional body. What we are interested in at the moment is based off what we feel connected to or moved by. This aspect by the Moon is made to Mercury which is now transiting Sagittarius, the Archer archetype. 

Mercury is in detriment in Sagittarius which means Mercury is at its weakest in this constellation. Mercury represents rationality, intellect and logic but Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, differs in its qualities. Mercury in this placement is not a rational, mathematical Mercury. It’s not a Mercury that becomes an expert. It’s not a learned Mercury. Instead, this Mercury seeks to understand the impossible becomes their are no limits to this mind. This placement involves endless questions, and a particular curiosity of the bigger picture, even beyond what the human eye can see. Where a Mercury in Virgo just wants the facts and tangible evidence, Mercury in Sagittarius wants the broad, open-ended responses that leaves the questions unanswered and left to philosophy and belief. 

However, Mercury is making a positive aspect, Trine, to Jupiter, the ruling planet of Sagittarius. This brings more of the positive energies that mercury in Sagittarius can offer such as open-mindedness, free thought, an adventurous mind, interest in expansive topics involving higher education and overall excitement and expression through speech. 

We also have the Moon in Opposition to Saturn, the great malefic. We are learning discipline and structure when it comes to our emotions and feelings. Saturn is a cold, strict planet and when harshly aspecting our soft and sensitive Moon we find it more difficult to express and truly feel our emotions and desires. This transit can bring emotional turmoil which is often expressed as loneliness or solitude. However, the Moon travels quickly so this effect is not long felt. 

Finally, we will discuss the planet of our values and relationships for the week, Venus. The Goddess of love and harmony is currently Trine Saturn. This is a positive time in relationships for more structure, order, honesty, organisation, and cooperation by working together. However, we must acknowledge Venus Square Pluto which can bring intense transformation to relationships. It is an evolutionary placement of change but Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth meaning old ways may die in order for new ways to be born. Remember to communicate with one an other and hold back from jumping to conclusions or losing your temper. 

Overall, this week astrologically involves working on our relationships, thinking about how we feel, opening our mind and enjoying new experiences, broadening our horizons, and refining and organising our emotions.
